Care Coordinators in Haliburton on strike

Care Coordinators in Haliburton County are on strike. Last night, the Ontario Nurses Association’s 10 Community Care Access Centres took a strike vote after negotiations with their employers were unsuccessful. These care coordinators have been without a contract since last March.

The ONA says their goal is to get all CCACs at the same wage scale, which the employers would not agree to. This affects professionals in the Central East LHIN.
