HHHS gets $130K to replace Haliburton site’s main doors

Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) is getting a $130,000 boost to replace its existing automatic accessible main doors.

The money, announced today by local MPP Laurie Scott, will help replace the Haliburton site’s well-used main doors that have exceeded their life expectancy.

Officials say the doors’ repairs were becoming more frequent with parts getting harder to source as both the doors and parts are becoming obsolete. The door has been in operation for over two decades.

MPP Scott says the funding, coming from Ontario’s Health Infrastructure Renewal and the Community Infrastructure Renewal Funds, will ensure that patients can continue to access the care they need in safe, comfortable environments.
