The Highlands Summer Festival and the Rails End Gallery are receiving some provincial money.
MPP Laurie Scott said in a press release yesterday the province is providing more than $46 million to support 648 non-profit tourism, culture, sport and recreation organizations through the Community Building Fund’s Operating stream, including 10 organizations in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock.
Locally, the Highlands Summer Festival will receive $14,600 and the Rails End Gallery will get $50,000.
The funding will be used to help recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and deliver programs and services in our community.
