HKPRDHU COVID-19 impact survey now open to area residents

Our local health unit wants to hear directly from the residents on how COVID-19 has impacted their lives.

A COVID-19 survey is now open to residents 18 years and older in Haliburton County.

Residents can take part in the survey by clicking on the ‘Tell Us How COVID-19 Has Affected You’ link available at hkpr.on.ca

The health unit says its survey is confidential, anonymous, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and can be accessed until mid-December.

The survey will ask about COVID-19’s impact on people in terms of mental health, stress, and economic disruption.

As well as actions residents took to protect against the virus like mask use, handwashing, physical distancing, and vaccination along with attitudes towards public health restrictions/responses.

The survey’s results will be used by the Health Unit and other organizations to more effectively respond to the current and lasting effects of COVID-19 in the area which includes developing evidence-based services and programs that support public health.

If this survey sounds familiar, it should be, because the Health Unit ran a similar survey of residents this time last year.
