The Township of Minden Hills has removed their Museum Curator position. According to a release today, operations at the Cultural Centre are changing which has resulted in the Museum Curator position being terminated. A new position of Cultural Centre Curator has been created, which will be taken on by the Gallery Curator. The position will coordinate programs and events at the Gallery, the Museum, Pioneer Village and Nature’s Place. CAO Lorrie Blanchard says the decision was made to reduce costs and refocus priorities. Reeve Brent Devolin says the change is meant to help grow the Cultural Centre in these difficult financial times.
