Provincial Green Party names candidate for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock

Tom Regina will represent the Green Party in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock in the upcoming provincial election.

“Tom Regina is a founding member of the Green Party Constituency Association for Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock,” his biography on the party’s website reads. “He is concerned about the divisive political culture that stands in the way of governance for the common good. Electoral reform, social equity and ecological wisdom are among the green values that motivated Tom to run as a green candidate.”

He has lived in Haliburton for over three decades and was formally the music and head of arts teacher at Haliburton Highlands Secondary School.

Regina will face off against incumbent Conservative MPP Laurie Scott, and the NDP’s Barbara Doyle in the election. The Liberals have yet to name a candidate for our riding.

The provincial election will be held on June 2, 2022.
