Haliburton’s community assessment centre is moving into the Haliburton Family Medical Centre building.
The trailer that used to house the centre has been removed.
“We are optimistic about moving out of the crisis response we’ve been in for the past two years,” said Kim Robinson, Executive Director and Office Manager of the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Team and Haliburton Family Medical Centre, on behalf of the Assessment Centre partners. “We are happy to be saying goodbye to the trailer and safely moving all testing to the Haliburton Family Medical Centre, and we thank the Municipality of Dysart et al for their assistance in the use of the parking lot for the assessment centre.”
The move comes, according to health officials, as the testing volume remains low in Haliburton.
Anyone who suspects they have COVID-19 is now being asked to call 705-457-1212 and press six between 9 AM and 1 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Otherwise, press zero.
