Haliburton Highlands Health Services (HHHS) has announced it will partner with the Kawartha Lakes Ontario Health Team (KL-OHT).
Carolyn Plummer, President & CEO of HHHS, says that they know that many people in Haliburton County already access services provided by members of the KL-OHT, and HHHS already has strong relationships with those providers.
Plummer added that Partnering with the KL-OHT will mean that they can work together to deliver better coordinated care to patients across Haliburton County.
Following a decision by the Ministry of Health in late 2020 that Haliburton County-based health service providers should partner with a neighbouring Ontario Health Team, Haliburton Highlands Health Services engaged in a comprehensive review process of potential OHT partners with other Haliburton-County providers.
