Minden Riverwalk, Water St. dock closed amid high water

Minden Hills has temporarily closed two amenities amid high water levels in the Gull River.

The township issued a statement Wednesday that the Minden Riverwalk pathway off Invergordon Avenue on the west side of the Gull River, and the Public Boat Dock located off Water Street on the east side of the Gull River, are closed for use by the public.

These closures and restrictions will remain in effect until water level conditions are deemed appropriate for reopening. The township is reminding the public to use caution around area lakes, rivers, creeks and other water sources such as ditches, as high-water levels and swift currents can create unstable conditions.
