Residents in Algonquin Highlands could be looking at a 3.5 per cent increase in their taxes this year. That’s just after the first few budget discussions council has had. They’re looking at increasing OPP costs, as well as growth increase. The draft hasn’t been approved yet so that number could change. Another draft of the budget will be coming back to council with final approval expected to happen in March.
