The Dorset landfill has new hours for the summer season. At the recent Algonquin Highlands council meeting, the decision was made to change the hours on Thursday to be open from noon until five, and instead of keeping the landfill closed on Friday, it will also be open from noon until five. Council made the decision after looking at costs and high traffic times. From now on, during the summer, the only day the Dorset site will be closed is Wednesdays.
