The Dorset Community Partnership Fund has the support of Algonquin Highlands councilors. At this morning’s meeting, members of the partnership told council about their new fundraising event – the launch of one thousand canoes.
It’s happening in May and their goal is to launch one thousand canoes to support the Dorset Community Health Hub. They’re asking everyone who wants to launch a canoe to sign up and fundraise. Algonquin Highlands councilors agreed to let the group use the Dorset parket as an area to launch some of the canoes for the event.
