Minden will get a Farmer’s Market this summer. The approval happened at yesterday’s council meeting. Reeve Brent Devolin said they have heard from a number of other markets including Kinmount who were concerned it would take business away from them. Devolin said that while they will be sensitive to others, council is doing this in the best interest of ratepayers.
The market will be on Saturdays in the municipal parking lot this summer as a test to see if it’s something to make permanent.
