A few fisherman in Minden weren’t so lucky recently when the MNRF conducted their enforcement blitz. 33 charges and 127 warnings were given out over a two day period.
They included making false statements to a conservation officer, catching and retaining fish during the closed season, and fishing without a license. Officers also seized lake trout that were over the legal size limit, and they released a Muskie back into the water after it was illegally caught.
Over 50 lakes in the Minden area were patrolled.
