The Volunteer Dental Outreach is expecting another sellout for their bowl-a-thon this year. Last year was the first event which raised five thousand dollars to help buy a new piece of equipment.
Since 2011, the organization has given urgent dental care to over 500 residents in Haliburton County, adding up to over one million dollars. It’s all run by volunteers, but the dental supplies, lab fees, equipment and rent add up to an annual operating budget of 90 thousand dollars.
