Streetlights in Dysart are all being replaced to be LED lights. Council started thinking about it last year, and agreed to go ahead at yesterday’s meeting.

In a report, it shows the annual savings is the same as not paying any electricity for four municipal buildings and all of the current traffic lights.

Reeve Murray Fearrey said with 50 thousand dollars a year being spent in repairs for the current lights, the replacement will be a lot cheaper in the long run.

We could see installation begin as early as July.
