We’ll see some of our local elementary school teachers in strike action starting today, but schools will be open as usual.
Trillium Lakelands District School Board says the job action is targeting Ministry of Education initiatives like professional development activities and EQAO testing.
Early childhood educators, education support personnel and professional support personnel members are not part of this strike action.
The school board is assuring parents that this will not impact extra-curricular activities, day and overnight field trips, or graduations.
