A Minden man has been arrested for shoplifting and assault.
Last night, officers responded to a call for shoplifting at the On the Spot variety store on Bobcaygeon Road. Before police got there, the suspect was being detained by staff. He became violent and assaulted two staff members. When police arrived, they took control of the 20 year old suspect and arrested him.
He’s charged with two counts of assault, theft under five thousand dollars, failure to comply with probation and assaulting police. He was held for a bail hearing today in Lindsay.
