Places for People have bought a new house. The not for profit group signed the papers yesterday to buy their third property in the county. The 3-bedroom home is on Newcastle St. in Minden. Volunteers are planning to demolish a shed and remove dry wall and insulation before Christmas. Renovations will begin in the new year and it will be ready for April 1. Volunteer Terry Twine says they need volunteers help. They opened their first home in Haliburton in 2010 and a home in Carnarvon in the summer.
