Lots discussed at Bancroft council meeting

From proposed rezoning of land to funding for children’s programming, there was a lot discussed at Bancroft council.

Council met at Club 580 yesterday and looked at an application from a developer who is hoping to get the former Bancroft Public School grounds rezoned to build an apartment building for seniors and a row of townhouses.

Council reviewed this year’s statistics for North Hastings Children’s Services’ Camp Experience.  A total of 292 local children attended this summer.  Council asked that the numbers for Bancroft and Dungannon be either combined in the future or identified as separate wards.

Members also agreed to donate the $100 that NHCS asked for to help run its Daddy n’Me program.
