Aging Well Committee pleased with Algonquin Highlands

Algonquin Highlands is getting a good grade when it comes to accessibility.

Member of the Aging Well Committee, Margery Cartwright says she’s enthusiastic with the way they deal with accessibility problems.

She gave the township an audit in yesterday’s council meeting, talking about her travels through the area. She says one place that could be improved is the Dorset Tower, so the stairs are easier to see and the railing is easier to hold.

Reeve Carol Moffatt is happy about the feedback and says they’ll also be involved in the new Aging Well Master Plan for the county.
