Residents in Haliburton County will have to travel a little farther to get rabies vaccinations for their pets this year. The HKPR District Health Unit says there wasn’t a vet clinic from Haliburton or Minden that came forward to participate in the program.
The low cost rabies clinics are still happening on October 3rd in Lindsay, Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls. You can go to the HKPR website for times and details.
Assistant Communications Officer Bill Eekhof says they are looking at ways to fix the situation for next year.
