Local resident sends letter to Ministry about winter road conditions

While people are preparing for another winter in Haliburton County, a local resident is calling for answers about road conditions.

Sean Pennylegion is sending a letter to the Ministry of Transportation asking if changes are being made to improve service this winter.

Pennylegion first sent a letter back in January after he drove in what he describes as deplorable conditions. The letter was addressed to local MPP Laurie Scott, asking her to pass the concerns on to the Minister of Transportation. According to Pennylegion, he heard back from Scott saying the letter was passed on, but he never received a response from the Ministry.

In Pennylegion’s new letter he asks a list of questions including whether there will be a change to Carillion’s contract to ensure better service.
