Local police are sending out the call for help to find a missing man whose car was found in Haliburton County.

David Palmer is a 47-year-old man from Bowmanville who went missing on October 2nd. Police found his brown 2002 Honda Accord in a rural area northeast of Haliburton Village on October 14th.

OPP is asking for help from hunters in the area. Investigators are looking for any obvious changes to the landscape since hunters were there last. Police are asking people if they find a suspicious item, not to move or touch it. They say to mark the item location and contact police.

Officers are also asking anyone who may have seen the brown Honda in the last few weeks, to call them.

Palmer is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and 280 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. His vehicle has the license plate BWCZ783.

Police say he suffers from personal health issues and requires medication.
