Dysart councillors want an application before they consider re-zoning land for a music festival venue.
So far, all that’s come forward are ideas and discussions about what the site would look like at the Lakeside Golf Course.
In a special meeting today, Deputy-Reeve Andrea Roberts explained that they want a proposal that’s very clear so councillors can protect the people and the environment. Councillor Derek Knowles says they should be wary of strangers bearing gifts.
Reeve Murray Fearrey said they wouldn’t be doing their jobs if they made a decision without all the details. They will be looking at a formal proposal at the end of the month.
