A business owner in Minden will have to jump through a few more hoops before his proposed salvage yard can be approved.
Steve Beaver wants to put the yard on Highway 35 beside Hunter Creek Estates.
Local residents and cottagers are concerned about contaminants in the creek behind the property, and the noise levels. Beaver says they will be installing a concrete pad with a roof so fluids won’t go into the soil. He also says they’ll only be operating between 7am and 5pm.
