People from all walks of life are invited to take part in Peterborough Pride this year. Chairperson, Trish Slavik says they weren’t always an accepted event in the community, but they’ve come a long way.Townships across the County are supporting the event by raising the pride flag. Slavik says the support makes them feel like they’re a part of the community.

She says there are events for the whole family to enjoy throughout the week. A full list can be found on their website.

The pride parade is the main event and it’s happening on September 20 in downtown Peterborough.
