Network capacity set to increase for mobile devices in Dysart

More people will be able to access a wireless network in Dysart.

The municipality just signed an agreement with Bell Mobility. They’ll be installing small cell systems to increase network capacity. Field specialists say that means more people will be able to access the network from their mobile phones without the system being overloaded.

It’s a small box that can go on the side of buildings, on poles or signs. It’s the same system that was put in at the White Water Preserve in Minden for the Pan Am Games.

Councillors will get input on where the boxes go, but locations haven’t been finalized yet.
