With more and more snow, the OPP is reminding snowmobilers to obey the rules while sledding. Police say many laws that apply to drivers on the road apply to those riding snowmobiles as well. This includes laws like stopping for police, not speeding, and always coming to a complete stop at roadways. Those who do not follow the rules face fines, loss of their driver’s license, and the possibility of criminal charges. The OPP says it’s also important to remember not to drink and drive, as those who ride their sleds above the legal limit can also face a suspension of their license.
