Bracebridge OPP responded to five calls this month regarding counterfeit American notes of varying denominations. OPP want to remind local retailers that a method of payment used in transaction is a private agreement between the buyer and seller. Each has the right to accept, or refuse. Police want local retailers to be wary if you suspect a note and use security features. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP.
