Human Trafficking Close To Home

MPP Laurie Scott is concerned about one of the largest growing crimes in Ontario, human trafficking. Scott wants the OPP, crown attorney, judges and nurses to be trained on how to handle human trafficking.

She says the main problem is that these workers are not specialized, or trained on this crime.

Laurie Scott says that this could be happening in your own backyard, and it happens quickly.

Scott ends by saying we need to save our girls, and the Liberal Government needs to make this a priority. The average age of the girls involved in human trafficking in Ontario is fourteen. 90% of those are Canadian born.
