Minden Hills residents will have an increase in tax this year, but council is aiming to keep it under 10 per-cent.
Reeve Brent Devolin says we have challenging times in the municipality and without reductions in the draft budget it would be a 15 per cent increase over to last year’s tax levy.
The township will be using $44,000 out of a reserve to help the minimize the impact.
Council will have a second round of budget discussions in the coming weeks.
