Members of Minden Hill hosted various fundraisers after a boy died of leukaemia to make an ice rink in memory of the boy.
The Dawson Hamilton Outdoor Memorial Rink is now open in Minden.
The township had a grant of $5,000 from Hydro One to help with the rink.
Reeve Brent Devolin says the rink is a great start, and can be expandable in the future.
