OPP is reminding Haliburton County that just because there was a storm doesn’t mean the ice is frozen enough to venture out on.
On Wednesday two snowmobilers were on Fairy Lake and one fell through the ice.
The driver did manage to get himself up on the ice and roll toward the second snowmobiler, who went back and picked him up.
He was brought to a local area hospital.
OPP say to take a minute to assess the ice conditions before you go on it.
