According to the 2016 Ontario Budget, future college and university students in Haliburton County could go to school for free.
The Ontario Liberal government wants to make sure that families that make less than $50,000 can send their children to school without them occurring debt.
The government says they expect the grants to start in 2017 for first year students who are eligible for the money.
The new system will also make tuition more affordable for middle-income families.
