Haliburton Highlands Secondary School has won The Pasta Challenge for the first time ever.
According to Head Secretary Jackie Mayhew the school has 7.92 units per student.
The closest competitor was Fenelon Falls Secondary School with 6.8.
Mayhew says with the help of students, staff, families and the community they received 3,612 units of pasta.

She also noted that Brad Park of Foodland and Steve Todd at Todds’ Independent donated almost half of the pasta the school received.
All food items collected during The Pasta Challenge have been donated to food banks around the county.
