The long-term facilities at Haliburton Highlands Health Services will be renovating the rooms to make them feel like home instead of an institution.
President of HHHS Carolyn Plummer says there are plans for a multi-purpose space which would include transitioning residents returning from acute care, and a space that family can stay.
Plummer says the capital campaign Heart of the Home will be paying the expenses.
