HaliburtonĀ MPP Laurie Scott wants the governments across the globe to address the challenges that are holding women and girls back from reaching their full potential.
Scott says a year ago she was hopeful that there would be a significant progress, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
Scott says although more work is needed, she has recognized the progress the Legislature has made with sexual violence and harassment.
