The mild weather during March Break may cause dangerous ice conditions on waterways according to Haliburton Highlands OPP.
Police say the ice conditions can quickly change and may not be able to support any weight.
They are encouraging parents to inform their children this week about the dangers of playing near frozen water.
Police also say to watch animals near waterways.
