A killer owl is on the loose in Bancroft. Moose FM in Bancroft has received a number of calls about attacks on pets in the downtown area. One man fought off the owl when it attacked his small dog. The dog needed extensive surgery. So far the attacks have occurred along Hastings Street South. Owls have powerful claws and strong beaks and this owl has been described as very large. The MNR have been notified.
