The Haliburton Junction Skate Park is set to be rebuilt in 2016 by council members of Dysart et al.
Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller says the original funding goal has increased because they found out the ground of the park needs to be re-done.
Mueller says she hoped construction would start in May, but it depends if they get a grant for the park. If they don’t receive a grant more fundraisers will be planned.
The ski/board-a-thon event is today at Sir Sam’s. The band goes on stage at 2:00. All funds go towards the park.
