Highlands East is moving ahead with a Recreational Management Plan for Greens Mountain. An RFP was sent out last year and DAC Inc. was awarded the project at council this week. The company, based in Peterborough, will scope the area and produce a map showing potential recreational uses at the site. The municipality is also interested in knowing how much they could charge for the various activities put forward based on similar operations. The public will be consulted during the process. DAC Incorporated will be paid almost $50,000 to produce the plan.
