The Township of Minden Hills has sent out a public notice about the surrounding lakes and rivers.
They say the water levels will continue to rise for the next 48 hours.
The public is being asked to stay away from the water because high levels may create unstable conditions like a stronger current than normal.
Residents who have a flooding history should take necessary precautions to protect their property.
The municipality is also asking residents to avoid driving on any roadways that are underwater.
