Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Haliburton County.

Officials say 15 to 25 centimeters of snow is expected to reach the area by Thursday morning.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says the forecast is not expected to immediately contribute to high water levels and flooding at this time.

They say it will contribute to future run-off once temperatures rise above freezing again.

Environment Canada and the MNRF will continue to closely monitor this developing situation.
