Flood Update For The Gull River Watershed

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry wants residents to know that there is a flood warning issued for Haliburton County.

They say Gull River water levels will rise as much as 9cm and remain high.

The Township of Minden Hills says water will likely flood low-lying areas along McKnight, Invergordon, Prince, Anson and Orde streets.

Water may also flood low-lying areas that have been susceptible in the past.

MNRF wants residents to keep a close watch on conditions by checking for updated messages.

Residents are advised that sand and sandbags are available at the following locations:

S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre, located at 55 Parkside Street.

Roads Department located at 4564 County Road 121.

Furnace Falls Park Front Turnaround – County Road 503.
