Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP Laurie Scott says the suspension of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s capital grants program is going to affect Haliburton County.
She says this decision will hurt legions, community centres and other community facilities.
Scott says the $25 million program is being directed into a new Ontario 150 program, which is linked to Canada’s 150th anniversary next year.
Scott says volunteer organizations are victims of the Liberal government’s waste, scandal and mismanagement because small groups in Haliburton rely on Trillium.
