A truck engulfed in flames on Highway 118 near Fader Drive in Algonquin Highlands Township.
Officials say yesterday, an off-duty officer rescued the 39-year-old driver from Oshawa, before the truck burst into flames.
The man was transported to a local hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say he was then airlifted to a Toronto hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the single vehicle collision is still under investigation.
