This year, there will be new signs posted on the Rail Trail.
Director of Public Works Craig Douglas says signage will be added to identify alternate road routes, and community safety zones.
He says this spring all road crossings will be identified with road names and 911 addressing.
Douglas says this will allow trail users to call 911 in an emergency and let officials know their exact location.
Haliburton County Reeve Carol Moffatt says there have been a number of accidents on the trail so she’s happy to see this go up.
