A local dentist has been given a community service award for his efforts and outstanding contributions to the well-being of Haliburton County.
Dr. John Purc’s says he has been recognized by the Ontario Dental Association for helping those in need of urgent dental care.
Purc’s says he has been volunteering at Volunteer Dental Outreach for a long time.
Purc’s says he decided to put off his retirement last year and retain his license to continue serving the VDO.
He encourages other dentists to volunteer.
