The Ministry of Natural Resources will be helping the Haliburton Highlands Outdoor Association with stocking six area lakes with fish.

They will be using trucks, boats and helicopters to ensure the survival of the fish today.

Chair of the Hatchery Bruce Miller says the Haliburton area is well known for its fishery, and it’s a real boost for tourism and the County.

The hatchery volunteers will also be cleaning up boat launches around the area.
